Cloud point data for DePHOS™ H-66-872
- A series of cloud point tests were performed and compared to sodium xylene sulfonate.
- The hydrotropes were solubilized in caustic or alkaline electrolyte solutions to which a 9.5 mole nonyl phenol ethoxylate was added.
- Each sample was heated to the temperature at which the nonionic clouds out of solution.
- The higher the cloud point temperature, the more efficient the hydrotrope.
- The control is 1% NPE-9.5 without hydrotrope added.
Hydrotrope cloud points DePHOS™ H-66-872 VS. SXS-40 (1% NP-9, 1.5% Hydrotrope by weight)
Foam height data for DePHOS™ H-66-872
- Foam height was determined using a modified Ross-Miles graduated cylinder shake test.
- The data is presented in the following graphs and compared to competitive phosphate esters and sodium xylene sulfonate.
Modified ross miles foam height (1% by weight in DI water)
Modified ross miles foam height (1% by weight IN 5% active NaOH)
Modified ross miles foam height (2% by weight in 5% Active NaOH)
