MACKAM® 1200 Powder is an 85% powdered form of lauramidopropyl betaine, a versatile amphoteric surfactant. It is compatible with anionic, nonionic, and cationic surfactants, delivering high foaming even in high electrolyte solutions. The product is stable in 20% sodium hydroxide solution with the addition of small amounts of hydrotropes. Compared to cocamidopropyl betaine, it offers improved viscosity and enhanced flash foam. MACKAM® 1200 Powder is suitable for bath and shampoo bars due to its mildness and lime soap dispersing properties, and for liquids for its viscosity building. It is also suitable for oral care products and formulations requiring low water content, such as water-soluble sachets.
