MACKINE® 301U is an amido amine that provides excellent conditioning and combability in hair care formulations. It can be neutralized with acids like citric or lactic acid to form cationic amine salts, offering a lower environmental impact compared to quaternary ammonium compounds. MACKINE® 301U requires less water for dilution, minimizing impact on aquatic life, and is easily rinsed from hair, reducing build-up and increasing volume. When combined with a co-emulsifier such as cetyl alcohol or PEG 400 distearate, it can be used to create pearly or opaque conditioners.
